I started Notey with speed in mind. Notey is based off the powerful PyGTK platform, and yet it is extremely fast, responsive, and simple. Notey is clutter free, designed to be functional yet not "in your face". And finally, Notey is licensed under the GPL 3.0 license, making it as open as possible. My goal for Notey is for it to replace Tomboy Notes as the dominant note-taker on Desktop Linux. I hope you enjoy Notey, and please make sure you support open source as much as you can.
